- Regeneration: Lactobionic acid contains galactose, which is known for supporting skin recovery. Lactobionic acid helps support repair of the skin’s structure and promotes faster regeneration.
- Gradual penetration into the skin: Lactobionic acid has a relatively high molecular weight and large molecular size. As a result, it penetrates the skin progressively, layer by layer. It supports gentle removal of dead skin cells while minimizing irritation.
- Anti-photoaging action: Lactobionic acid helps inhibit matrix metalloproteinases, enzymes involved in skin aging. These enzymes break down components of the extracellular matrix, particularly collagen, contributing to loss of elasticity, deeper wrinkles, and skin laxity. Metalloproteinases are also associated with facial redness and the development of rosacea-related changes.

What happens when cellular DNA is damaged?
DNA damage can increase apoptosis (cell death), reduce protein synthesis, and contribute to processes associated with skin aging and disease. Unirepair T43 is an amino-acid-rich complex containing acetyl tyrosine and proline, both known for redox-related properties; hydrolyzed plant proteins providing amino acids such as glutamine and glutamic acid; and ATP as an energy-supporting component.
Unirepair T43 is designed to support repair processes following UV-induced DNA damage as both pre- and post-exposure care. It helps reduce visible inflammation and redness by providing amino acids involved in DNA-repair enzyme pathways and supporting redox activity.
In cited testing, DNA damage after UVB exposure was reduced by 50% after 5 hours, while erythema was reduced by 37% after 24 hours and 52% after 48 hours.
